Breakfast and After School Club
Breakfast Club (run by Foulds):
7:45am - 8:45am
About Breakfast Club:
If you are interested in using The Early Birds club, or require further information, please email the school office; office@fouldsp.org
The Early Birds Club at Foulds offers breakfast (at 8:20am) and fun activities for our children. This daily club is enjoyed by the children allowing parents to get on with their journey to work.
What food is there?
- Cereal: A selection of healthy cereals (no nuts) with semi-skimmed milk (non-dairy alternatives if required)
- Drinks: Orange juice, apple juice, hot chocolate, milk
- Toast and toppings
- Raisins
What do the children do once they have eaten?
We have lots of games to play, Lego, Playmobil, drawing and painting as well as a quiet corner with cushions and books.
Do I have to come every day?
No. Whilst the Early Birds Club is open every school day, and you should book the days you require on a half termly basis, we can allow drop-ins, paid through School Money, that day/a day in advance. Please email office@fouldsp.org
How do I pay?
The fee is £5.00 per day and £4.40 for a second child. We ask for payment each half term and a range of childcare vouchers can also be used. Payment should be made using School Money.
Who runs it?
Two of Foulds experienced and enthusiastic mealtime supervisors; Mrs Challice and Ms McLean, ably assisted by other Foulds staff. All of our staff know the Foulds children well.
Where do I drop my child off?
Please park outside of the school (not in the car park) to drop your child off. Walk them to the gate by the Dining Hall. Please do not let your child walk through the car park without adult supervision - it is a working car park and can therefore be potentially dangerous.
After School Club (run by LBL):

About LBL:
LBL are delighted to have opened a club at Foulds School. We are a multi-activity club with the following activities and resources available:
-
Arts and crafts resources
-
Sports and outdoor equipment
-
Small world play equipment
-
Construction toys (Lego, Knex, Playmobil, etc.)
-
Books
-
Board games
-
Imaginative play equipment
We foster an atmosphere of fun, warmth and play. Children are encouraged to engage with different age groups, try new activities and develop their social skills. We do not encourage the use of technology at the club, nor do we provide electronic resources. We are happy for children to complete their homework whilst at the club and will provide an area for that to happen but we would not expect LBL staff members to assist with homework in place of a parent.
LBL operates a free play philosophy and abides by the Play Work Principles (2004). Full details can be found on our website but the most fundamental idea is this:
All children and young people need to play. The impulse to play is innate. Play is a biological, psychological and social necessity, and is fundamental to the healthy development and well-being of individuals and communities.
How do I register?
Simply complete and return a registration form and emergency contact form via email – these are available on our website or by emailing LBLFoulds@gmail.com.
How do I book?
We operate an online booking system. This is essential for our Safeguarding regulations so all bookings must be made online. You can book as many or as few sessions as you need and you can also make same day, last-minute bookings as we know plans can change! We aim to be as flexible as possible in the interest of parents and their childcare needs.
How do I pay?
Payment can be taken online via PayPal, BACS, childcare vouchers or the government Tax-Free Childcare scheme. LBL are registered with all childcare voucher providers. If you wish to pay with vouchers, please check the website in the new year for info or drop us an email and we’ll explain the process.
How much does it cost?
We have two types of session:
Full Session 3:30-5:45pm:
£9 per session
£7 per session (sibling discount)
One Hour Session (this can be used for an hour straight after school or an hour after another club)
£6 per session
(no sibling discount)
Do you offer snacks?
We serve a selection of sandwiches (no pork or shellfish) and fresh fruit or veg every day with drinking water. We operate a healthy eating policy and are a nut-free zone. Children are welcome to bring their own snacks if they wish but we would ask parents to ensure they are healthy and comply with our nut policy.

Our team is headed up by one of our current LBL team leaders who brings with her our LBL philosophy and high standards. Current guidance for play work advises a ratio of 1:30. LBL operates a ratio of 1:15 as a minimum.
